Background :

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City has taken another step toward strengthening education in the capital by welcoming a new early learning center into its international schools ecosystem, as part of broader efforts aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

The Wishing Tree, a newly established early learning center situated in Boulevard City, now forms part of the RCRC International Schools network. Shamal Investment Group partnered in this venture, which opens its doors to children from six weeks to five years of age. The centre’s program is designed on the principle of play-based learning and follows the Australian Early Years Learning Framework. Classes are conducted in both Arabic and English, strategically formulated to respect the cultural ethos of the nation.

This new addition makes the total count of international schools within the RCRC reach ten. These schools include several famous British schools, such as King’s College Riyadh, Aldenham School Riyadh, Downe House Riyadh, Reigate Grammar School Riyadh, Beech Hall School Riyadh, and Buckswood School Riyadh. This list also features SEK International School Riyadh, which represents Spain. There are also Singaporean schools, namely One World International School and EtonHouse International School.

These institutions, due to their world-renowned pedagogical approaches and contemporary curriculum, will be able to ensure that Riyadh emerges as one of the best cities for learning. Their impact can even extend to improvements in students’ performance at global assessments like PISA and TIMSS.

In order to achieve this development, RCRC works very closely with Ministries of Education, Investment, and Human Resources. They create an environment of investment that will enable these international schools to flourish and, at the same time, preserve the true essence of the Kingdom.
