Background
Canva has announced a UK Learning Labs roadshow for 2026 aimed at helping teachers use AI tools and creative digital resources for classroom teaching. The program will include a series of in-person events across several UK cities, followed by a four-day Learning Labs festival in London in June.
The roadshow will visit Liverpool, Glasgow, Birmingham, Leeds, and Bristol between April and June. Teachers, school leaders, and education specialists can join these events to learn how to use digital design and AI tools in their classrooms.
According to the company, the workshops will focus on practical uses of the platform for lesson creation, student collaboration, and improving teacher productivity. Participants will take part in hands-on sessions demonstrating features such as AI-powered design tools, collaborative whiteboards, and Canva Code.
Jade Parkinson-Hill announced the initiative on LinkedIn, noting that the Learning Labs program will support educators interested in new approaches to digital learning. The sessions will also introduce product updates revealed during Canva Create 2026.
Canva said the workshops will be led by its staff along with educators from the “Canvassador” teacher community, who already use the platform in classrooms. These educators will share practical examples of how the tools can support lesson planning and classroom creativity.
The roadshow will conclude with a Learning Labs festival in London from June 22 to June 25. The four-day event will offer specialized sessions for primary teachers, secondary teachers, school leaders, and post-16 educators.
Canva said the initiative forms part of its broader effort to expand the use of Canva for Education, a free version of its platform offered to primary and secondary schools. The company reports that its visual communication platform currently serves more than 260 million users worldwide each month.
