Background
Mazda North American Operations has announced a new partnership with DonorsChoose, committing $250,000 to support STEM-based classroom projects across the United States. The initiative is part of Mazda’s wider Be Moved community project, which focuses on uplifting students and teachers through targeted learning support.
The company will launch the programme with a $100,000 flash fund to help fulfil STEM-related project requests in schools across Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlantic, and Boston-Massachusetts. Alongside this, Mazda will match up to $150,000 in donations made nationwide to STEM-focused teacher projects listed on DonorsChoose, giving classrooms a strong push towards better science and technology resources.
Mazda said the renewed collaboration comes after the success of last year’s partnership. “After seeing the impact and joy these donations brought to students and teachers last season, we were excited to partner with DonorsChoose again this year,” said Brad Audet, Chief Marketing Officer at Mazda North American Operations. He added that supporting STEM projects helps young learners discover their passions and build future-ready skills.
DonorsChoose also welcomed the partnership. Adam Disler, Senior Vice President of Partnerships, said the support would bring vital resources into classrooms and enable teachers to run innovative projects that might otherwise remain out of reach.
Mazda previously teamed up with DonorsChoose in 2024, donating $250,000 toward classroom needs. The renewed partnership strengthens Mazda’s commitment to nurturing STEM education and inspiring the next generation of innovators.
