Background

Hyundai Motor Company has expanded its partnership with the non-profit H2GP Foundation to provide science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education programs for high school students in Bryan County. The move is aimed at encouraging interest in renewable energy and preparing the next generation for careers in clean energy and the automotive industry.

In addition to the new program, Hyundai also contributes to the Georgia Historical Society and Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity. Both programs are part of the company’s ongoing efforts to promote education and improve housing in the Coastal Georgia region.

The area is home to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA), the automaker’s first large-scale electric vehicle production plant in the United States. Hyundai leaders say their community investments align with the company’s vision of building a skilled future workforce while strengthening local communities.

“Hyundai is proud to deepen its commitment to the Coastal Georgia community,” said Brent Stubbs, Chief Administrative Officer at HMGMA. “Since HMGMA operates in the region, we believe it is our duty to support initiatives that drive positive impact. Contributing to education and community welfare remains a core part of our mission.”

Brandon Ramirez, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Hyundai Motor North America, said, “At Hyundai, we know that quality education brings a brighter future. By building on these relationships, we can motivate the youth, create opportunities in clean energy jobs, and create a desire to study.”

By implementing these programs, Hyundai intends to integrate education, innovation, and community support to make a long-term difference in Georgia.
